Janeen McKnight, Jr/Sr High Teacher

Mrs. McKnight teaches upper-level math and science classes at Emmanuel Christian School.  Sweetser Elementary School is where Mrs. McKnight completed kindergarten through 6th grade.  She transferred to Emmanuel Christian school in the 7th grade and is one of the many alumni who found her home in education. After graduating from ECS, Mrs. McKnight went on to further her education at Indiana Wesleyan University. She received an associates degree in math. She has served ECS for 6 years.

Mrs. McKnight and her husband, Philip, have two daughters, Zoey and Zaney and a son Zion. Her husband Philip is employed at Trucks Plus. They have four children; Zoey, Zaney, Zion and Zander.

Spending time with family is one of Mrs. McKnight's favorite things to do. She also enjoys playing the piano and exercising.

Wherever you see the ECS Eagle's volleyball team, you will also see Mrs. McKnight. She has been the head coach of the volleyball team for many years. She is also involved in the church worship choir, a church pianist, and volunteers in the nursery.

Mrs. McKnight's favorite part of working at ECS is having the opportunity to be a positive role model for the young women in the school and having an impact on students for Christ.

Heather Daniel, Jr./Sr. High Teacher

Mrs. Daniel, a 1993 graduate of Emmanuel Christian School, teaches Language Arts and Womanhood. She attended Southwood Elementary and Jr./Sr. Highschool from kindergarten through ninth grade and then transferred to ECS. She believes ECS changed the entire course of her life and is thankful for the influence and wisdom of Godly teachers.

After graduating from Emmanuel, she married Benj Daniel and graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She has been with ECS for 6 years.

She and her husband of 18 years are the parents of three girls, Emily, Ellie and Erin. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, singing and reading.

 Dawn Real, Jr./Sr. High Teacher

Dawn teaches History and Jr. High Science here at Emmanuel.  She has several years experience both in classroom and adminstration.  She attended Free Will Baptist Bible College two years then transferred to Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College where she graduated with her degree in her words "Found the most wonderful, Godly husbad."  She and Pastor Scott have three teenage children, Matthew, Sara and Katie.

One of her favorite verses in Job 42:2 "I know that you can do everything, and that no purpose of yours can be withheld from you."

Her favorite quote is "Whta we do in life echos in eternity."
